Rock Forever?

Somedays when I just don't really feel up to the task there's a small little sliver of hope called my stereo. This is where I'll be sitting for the next couple hours. Just sitting and listening to some music and perhaps knocking down a beer or two. Okay most likely knocking down a few. This tradition is spelled out pretty plainly in Judas Priests Rock Forever lyrics...

When the day is over,
I like to ease my mind.
By juicin' up my system,
with the beat of a heavy kind.
I smack a bottle open,
I crank the hi-fi high.
I'm in-a seventh heaven,
Ooh I can touch the sky.

Ooh well I can't quite touch the sky just yet, but whatever. That's not really the point. I just like to smack a bottle open and crank the hi-fi high, much to the chagrin of neighbors and sisters and cats. That song is on the Hell Bent for Leather album, which was released in 1979. I was but a mere 5 years old at that point, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I was passed out all day yesterday, so not that well. Actually I really don't remember much from those days. Little bits and pieces come around every now and again, but not for long. Not sure if my memory is poor or if I've just repressed all those memories. Seems cliche to say it, but I think it may be partially true. Most likely it's a bit of both.

And Birds Will Sing...

That title means absolutely nothing. Pretty representative of what this blog will contain. And with that, the first post is finished.
