Max Attack II

This is Maxine. She's a good cat. A bit feisty at times, but I've tamed her pretty well over the years. As proof, my hands and arms aren't scratched to hell after playing these days. I'm sure that disappoints her on some level, but oh well for her. I win.

A Spoonful of Wasted

I'm not really sure what to write about this weekend.

Bachelor party for Spooner.

Wasn't even sure if I wanted to go, but I didn't have much else planned that weekend and the weather was looking pretty shitty in Chicago, so I thought, what the hell, I'll head up to Wisconsin and try my best to have a good time.

Thirty seconds after leaving work on Thursday, I was having fun.

Fifty minutes after leaving work on Thursday, I was happily laughing along with Fraser as we started our ascent North.

I'm not going to bother with any sort of detailed recap of the weekend, as it's not really necessary. Some people stayed up too late. Some people didn't stay up late enough. Delicious food was prepared and consumed. Some folks were intoxicated. Some folks were sober...several hours after falling asleep. Things were blown up. Fish were caught. Boundaries were crossed. Games were won. Scenery was taken in. Frisbees were tossed. Conversations were had. Amazing music was played. CCR is apparently more influential than Elvis. Friendships were found. Jody and Fraser have album artwork if they decide to form a band. Rain was plentiful. Insects were fun. A lone mouse roamed the kitchen. Private lakes are nice. Royalty was present. Pictures were taken.

Some pictures have not been released. Those pictures will probably never be released. It's better that way.

I took a bit of liberty with some of the photos in order to make things not quite so boring. It may not necessarily depict the actual scene accurately, but if you were drunk enough, it may more accurately depict those scenes, so you can decide for yourself. I'm not here to judge you or your decisions. And honestly, I don't really care, as it's kind of fun to manipulate images however you want. I'm just trying to make Spooner look good, what's so wrong with that? I realize some of you may think that's not going to be possible, but it is...he's a good man and we're all much better off for his existence. If for  nothing more than the fact that he invited us all to partake in this sort of fun.

My apologies for anyone who did not get their picture used in this here blog, but perhaps next time you should be cooler and probably more photogenic. Or be around when I am sober enough to force myself to take photos even though I would prefer to just get wasted.

Congrats, Spooner!
